the arsenal

It is a truth universally acknowledged that it is more preferable to maintain wellness than it is to combat illness. But on the occassion that some sneaky rhinovirus up to no good should penetrate one's defenses of wellness ... well, basically you're sick.

I have a cold. Or should I say, a cold has me. This one has some good-sized claws. I am nearing the end of Day 6 in my fight against the virus. I fear the virus may currently have the upper hand. But I am not giving up; I do have a battle plan.

Behold the Arsenal

From L to R: Ricola Honey Lemon with Echinacea throat drops, Echinacea supplement, Bija Cold Stop Tea, Airborne

Not pictured are: clear fluids, my pillow and bed, Kombucha, and all the good people who have told me to go home and get some rest. Speaking of which, it's time I lay down. Your regularly scheduled intelligent posting will resume once the virus has been subdued.

  1. Ahh we come together with relatives and usually come home with a little more then Aunt Edna's stuffing recipie and leftovers. Yup, we get a cold. We do not see these people all the time and they bring all their germs into the mix...no fun.

Hope you are on the mend and you have sucessfully beat back the multiplying hoard of rhino's. I think they are the only thing that multiplies faster the rabbits! (LOL)

So funny. But not so funny that you are sick. I'm glad you're taking care of yourself! I hope you get well soon. I will keep you in my prayers regarding this.

  3. Carl - Thank you for your well wishes!! It certainly is that time of year where there are ample sniffles, sore throats, & coughs to be had. And I think you're right about those germs multiplying ... evil little buggers!!

Christianne - I'm glad you enjoyed the post. :o) I had fun with it; honestly, I get so delirious with these head colds sometimes that just about everything is funny.

It's Day 7 now and I'm starting to feel more human. I hope the trend continues!!

Thank you for your prayers. :o)
