table scraps [selected thanksgiving snapshots]

Hello friends! Welcome back from the long holiday weekend. I hope you found ample blessing in time away from the norm in however you chose to spend it.

It's a rarity when the whole extended clan gets together, so it's a privilege to be able to post these. What follows is a sampling of a few of my favorite shots from the day. It's so great to have the little chilluns around; Kim (my cousin) & her husband Gil's children Campbell (6) and Gunnar (2) added much life, energy, & laughter to the gathering (not to mention bubbles!!).
enjoy!

  2. Looks and sounds like you had a wonderful Thanksgiving with much to be thankful for. Things were going great for me until someone almost ruined my day with some bad news. It was an intentional thing too just to stir things up. But before I could dwell on it, my sister called to say that she was thankful for having me as a brother. :) Whew that was just in the nick of time. I am being tested a lot these days but I think that means that I am getting closer to where I want to be. Great blog, I think I have been here before.

  5. Kirsten, great to see that you spent time connecting and loving on your family!

Love the snaps! (Still trying to get over the nickname, cracks me up everytime.)

So, what did you feast upon besides these great moments? (Does your special diet allow you have pumpkin pie?)

  7. LL - The kids were delightful! They definitely added so much life & joy to our gathering.

23 Degrees - No pumpkin pie on my diet, but you can bet your bottom dollar I brought those cupcakes. Turns out Campbell is allergic to gluten too! So it was good to be able to share that with her.

Blue - It was a lot of fun! By the end of the night, even us old crusty folks were getting silly (I admit, for me it doesn't take much)! Apparently, it's contagious

  9. I'm back. I like what you wrote on Christianna's blog. You are also not alone about being afraid to telling it all for the whole world to see. I went back and errased some of my old posts that were too personal for me to bare. Maybe some day I will repost them.
