cat's eye view of christmas

Meet Slater, my family's 11-year-old mane coon cat. Slater enjoys playing with long curly ribbon, burrowing under massive piles of wrapping paper, and posing for the camera.

    My cat gave me a gift for Christmas... a 700 dollar vet bill for the ribbon she ate. oy vey. I am glad yours was a little better behaved.

    Ilse - He is a funny kitty. I can't believe he's almost 12 years old. We got him the summer we graduated from high school. Scary!

    Carl - your poor kitty! His poor parents! What a story, though. Hope she is OK. :o)

    Ohh!!! I love Slater -- he's so cute and seems to have a great personality. I love that in a cat. :)

    Christianne - He is pretty darn cute & LOVES being the center of attention. He gets shy & skittish at the oddest times which just keeps us all on our toes.

    I sincerely hope you are enjoying your vacation! I do miss your posts, but hope you are soaking up every minute of your vacation, spending time with the ones you love, & enjoying the downtime. :o)

    Kirst, it's been WEIRD not to be posting every other day or three! And sometimes I admit it's hard to give myself permission not to be thinking of new posts and then writing them out. Freeing, but also strange. I'll post as I can, but I'll also continue letting myself just be in the moments that present themselves here.
